Ahmed Khalil
I’m a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin specializing in optimization and control for autonomous systems. My research focuses on optimization and algorithm design, including convex optimization, sampling-based algorithms, and combinatorial optimization, motivated by applications in model predictive control, distributed stochastic control, and task assignment.
I obtained my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and completed a summer study abroad at Zhejiang University. Previously, I was a PhD intern in the Control and Optimization group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
